Who Can Come?

Everyone is welcome. You might have a long experience of church, or none at all. You might be a Londoner looking for silence, a visitor exploring Borough Market, or someone passing through after work.

Come as you are. Sit quietly. Leave with renewed hope.

A quiet space in the heart of London

Life in London can feel busy and overwhelming. Holy Hour at St George the Martyr, Borough, offers something different: one hour of calm, silence, and beautiful music. It is one of the most peaceful ways to experience quiet prayer in London.

You do not need to know any prayers, and you do not need to say anything out loud. Some people use the time to reflect on their day, some to sit quietly with their thoughts, and some to pray. However you come, you are welcome.

What Happens
