A Joyful Morning of Confirmation at St George the Martyr

This Sunday we rejoiced as nine members of our congregation received the sacrament of Confirmation at St George the Martyr. It was a day filled with joy, prayer, and a deep sense of God’s Spirit at work among us.

In Confirmation, Christians renew the promises made at their baptism, and through the laying on of hands and prayer, the gift of the Holy Spirit is strengthened. It is a sacrament of belonging; binding us more deeply to Christ, to the life of the Church, and to one another.

For those who were confirmed, this moment marked a new chapter in their journey of discipleship, a visible sign of the Spirit’s presence and calling in their lives. For the whole parish, it was a reminder of the living God who continues to call people into faith, hope, and love today.

We give thanks for the witness of those confirmed, and we hold them in our prayers as they continue to grow in faith. May the Holy Spirit strengthen them and all of us to be signs of Christ’s presence in Borough and beyond.
